Call for Nominations

At Durham Rebels Volleyball Club, we’re committed to fostering a love for the game while instilling the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership in our young athletes. We aim to create a positive and supportive environment where every player can thrive. As our current season comes to a close, planning is underway for the 2024/25 season and beyond and we’re seeking motivated individuals who share our passion for volleyball, youth development and a genuine desire to see our programs and athletes thrive.

Open positions: 
• Club President (2 year term)
• Treasurer (2 year term)
• Coach Recruitment & Selection Committee (1 year commitment) – FILLED

Nominations are open to current and past members who held membership within the club for at least one season. Past members must have left in good standing. Membership is defined as being a coach, athlete or parent of an athlete on one of our competitive teams.Term will begin as soon as the suitable candidate is confirmed. Candidates must be 18 years or older. Members may nominate themselves or another individual who has agreed to be nominated.

Submissions will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee. If multiple suitable candidates are identified for the role of Club President and Treasurer, a membership vote will be held. All interested candidates will complete an online submission by May 24, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. If a suitable candidate is not identified for one or more roles, the deadline for that respective role(s) will be extended until the position(s) is filled. Nominations currently remain open.
